We were so excited to find a Devil & Angel Desserts in Bakersfield, after falling in love with them at their Glendale location. The Tanghulu here was so bad. It's supposed to use high quality fruit. I can't believe anybody pays $7 for 5 wimpy little split grapes. The coating was thick and yellow, nothing at all like our experience in LA. So so disappointed.

When we arrived, there was no customers and it looked slow so we decided to use the kiosk. I called out politely, “excuse me” but since I have a soft voice my mom called out excuse me louder. We knew the girl with red hair had seen us since she made eye contact with us when I first called out for help. Res hair girl then yelled out with her finger pointed at us, I’m busy talking. That is when I pulled out my phone to record the interaction. When she saw my phone she changed her tone of voice to a “nicer” tone while still lying about how busy they are with customers and in the video you can see there is no one in line expect the other people in the food court clearly not in line or near the Devil Angels. I would’ve not cared if she was listening to music or even talking to her co-workers if she had not pointed her finger and yelled at us. in the video itself you can see how she was lying multiple times. Will be telling everyone I know. Next time just laugh or say one second or XYZ but come on don’t go pouting and yelling at people for asking for help while the busy is empty and you’re supposed to be working. 0/10 recommend Video is posted in Yelp because I was struggling with uploa

I come by this place pretty often I love the strawberry matcha but when I went with my underage daughter the guy who I presume was the manager with a Spanish accent was flirting with her and after I told him that she was 16 he laughed it off. This is very concerning and it seems that every time I pass by he is always staring at girls who look underage and alone. Based off of other reviews I am extremely concerned about the man I just mention as this isn’t the first complaint he received. They really have to reconsider his position there.

always the place for a sweet treat. whenever i drive down here i always make sure my group stops here for gas and goodies! highly recommend the new double matcha with matcha foam on top, as a matcha enthusiast it’s really good.

Not sure why everybody is up in arms about the service in a mall food court, but it seems fine to me. They answered my questions nicely, took my order, told me I could click X for the tip (without me prompting), gave me my food. And this while they were really busy on a Sunday afternoon. We got a Royal milk tea, dragon pineapple refresher, original Korean corn dog, and a strawberry and a grape tang hulu. Everything was great, and this coming from someone who is routinely looking for good Asian food in LA, SF, and Vegas. I would say the milk tea was a tad sweet and the boba was a little hard, but definitely still great. The fruit on the tang hulu was amazingly sweet, the strawberry was not tart at all, one of the sweetest strawberries I've ever had. Prices were reasonable at $6 per stick of tang hulu or 2 for $11. It was double that at the night market at Santa Anita. Pretty happy with this place, would come back.
